Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) was a Scottish writer of enduring classics such as Treasure Island, Kidnapped, Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and a Child's Garden of Versus. His literary reputation rises and falls according to fashions in literary fiction but Stevenson remains one of the greats in the English-speaking canon.

Condition*: Very Good. Red cloth cover w/ black lettering and black and tan decoration: Light shelf wear; light fading along right fore edge and top edges; lightly bumped corners and at head and tail of spine; light soiling from handling, including small splotch of something on the back (suspecting apple sauce). Inside: Darkening of front and back fly leafs; spine cracking at title page and pages 40-41. Pages are clean, undamaged, and complete.
