Newell Conyers "NC" Wyeth (1882 – 1945) was a painter and one of the country's greatest illustrators, remembered for illustrating 25 books for Scribner's, including The Yearling, Treasure Island, and Kidnapped. N. C. was the father of Andrew Wyeth and grandfather of Jamie Wyeth, both famous American artists.
