And so begins our second encounter with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. This one volume edition of Sherlock Holmes stories is actually not complete. It's missing his first Sherlock Holmes story, "A Study in Scarlet", first published in 1887 in Beeton's Christmas Annual.

Condition*: Very Good. Lacks dust jacket, as issued. Saddle-colored calfskin cover: Light edgewear; small scuff or surface scratch on the front; wear at the head of the spine; separation from the spine beginning at the title page and back endpaper. Pages are lightly tanned but complete and undamaged.
