Dr. Seuss's Sleep Book was his seventh book, published to commemorate his 25th anniversary as a children's book author and illustrator.
It begins with a sleepy little bug named Van Vleck and includes Biffer-Baum Birds, the Herk-Heimer Sisters, the stilt-walkers, the Hinkle-Horn Honkers, the World-Champion Sleep-Talkers, the Hoop-Soup-Snoop Group, Snorter McPhail and the Snore-a-Snort Band, the Foona-Lagoona Baboonas, the Bumble-Tub Club, a Chippendale Mupp, the Curious Crandles, and the Collapsible Frink.
