Charles Perrault is the father of Mother Goose. In 1695, 200 years before the Brothers Grimm, he wrote, in modern French prose, a book of classic fairy tales for his children to serve as "Tales and Stories of the Past with Morals", which we know as "Tales of Mother Goose".

Condition*: Very Good. Lacks dust jacket, as issued. "A" printing. Cover boards have mild edge wear and corners are slightly bumped. The front cover has minor scuffing from shelf wear, and the back cover has a scattering of tiny indentations and light red marks. Previous owner's name in bookplate. Minor soiling of a few pages.
