I'm a fan of Madonna...yes, THAT Madonna...and her children's books. As a student of Kabbalah, a Jewish spiritual tradition, she followed her instructor's advice and wrote stories that conveyed the wisdom and lessons that she learned. The Adventures of Abdi is her fifth story book.
"Abdi is a little boy who has been given a very big task. He is to deliver the most precious necklace in the world - made by Eli, his teacher and a master jeweler - to the queen. Along the way he is robbed in the desert, thrown in a dungeon, and has a surprising encounter with a snake."
The story's mythical Middle East and the artwork's soft, hazy colors induce a dreamlike encounter with a turban of swords, streets full of snake charmers, and Bedouins on camels. A child can spend hours searching the pictures for mysterious objects and strange, beguiling characters.

3. Etsy collects visitor data which it shares with its sellers. I supplement this information with additional data collected by Google Analytics. Gift wrapping and packaging
I wrap every book with care and ship it in a padded mailing envelope or sturdy box. If you're purchasing a gift, please advise when ordering and include a gift message.
