Sylvia Plath (1932 - 1963) wrote the poems collected for Winter Trees at the end of her life, contemporary with her ground-breaking work, Ariel. The book includes Three Women, a radio play written for the BBC, inspired by the Ingmar Bergman film Brink of Life, 1959. Plath was posthumously awarded the Nobel Prize in literature in 1982.
Condition*: Fine/Very Good. The dust jacket shows moderate shelf wear and has an open tear at the head of the spine and a small closed tear in the top right corner, and the back flap is creased.
