Dean Koontz (1945- ) is a great writer and has written a lot of books, from mysteries and thrillers to science fiction, and has sold over 250 million copies. In addition to the Santa's Twin books, his other children's stories include Oddkins, The Paper Doorway, and I, Trixie, Who Is Dog.
Phil Parks illustrated both Santa's Twin books, among many other projects, and beautifully captures the magical versus the mechanical in the stories.
