Four animals - a lion, an ibis, a scorpion, and a snake - are so drawn to the beautiful music that each day they follow the gypsy. Each night, hidden int he shadows, they listen to the gypsy play and watch over him after he falls asleep."
Geoffrey Patterson is a British illustrator, though he initially worked as a set-designer with BBC TV before venturing into children's literature in 1976. His works, which often blend educational content with engaging visuals, have established him as a prominent figure in children's publishing. Books include The Elephant's Child, Jonah and the Whale, The Oak, The Working Horse, The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg, and many others.
