Eric Carle (1929 - 2021) was a renowned author and illustrator, best known for his classic children's book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." Carle's early years were spent in Germany, where he honed his artistic skills at the Akademie der bildenden Künste in Stuttgart. His distinctive collage art style, often featuring hand-painted papers, captivated young readers worldwide. Carle's career spanned over six decades, during which he authored and illustrated more than seventy books, selling over 152 million copies globally.
