Minnesota author Douglas Wood (1951 - ) has written non-fiction, poetry, and over 30 children's books, including the best-selling Old Turtle series, What Moms Can't Do, and No One But You. His books have been translated into more than 20 languages and have received numerous honors, such as the Christopher Medal, the ABBY Award, and the International Reading Association Book of the Year. Wood is also a musician, a wilderness guide, and a naturalist who loves to share his passion for nature and creativity with audiences of all ages.

P. J. Lynch has illustrated more than 20 books, including The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey, When Jessie Came Across the Sea, and The Boy Who Fell Off the Mayflower, or John Howland's Good Luck. He has won two Kate Greenaway Medals and three Christopher Medals (including one for Grandad's Prayers of the Earth), and has been nominated twice for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. Pages are clean and complete except for closed tears on two pages, as shown in photos. Easily mended but book is priced accordingly.
