Through The Looking Glass is a classic children's novel, first published in 1871. It is the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and follows Alice as she travels to a fantastical world on the other side of a mirror. There, she encounters talking chess pieces, nursery rhyme characters, and a mysterious Jabberwock. The novel is full of wordplay, puzzles, and whimsical imagery, and is considered one of the most influential works of literature in the English language.

Lewis Carroll (1832 - 1898) was the pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, a British author, mathematician, and photographer. He was born in Daresbury, Cheshire, and was the eldest boy in a large family of 11 children. He showed a talent for inventing games and stories to amuse his siblings and himself. He studied mathematics at Christ Church, Oxford, where he later became a lecturer. He is best known for his two classic children's books, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and Through the Looking-Glass (1871), which were inspired by his friendship with Alice Liddell, the daughter of the dean of Christ Church. He also wrote poems, such as The Hunting of the Snark (1876), and puzzles.
