"The beach umbrella was flapping in the breeze..."

Lucy spent the day at the beach with her Mom and Dad, all day, longer than she ever had. When it was time for bed, the sunset glowed pink and red.

"Lucy put her pajamas on inside out, climbed into bed, and yawned a big YAWN."

Her Mom read her a bedtime story until she nodded off, but when the moon shone through the window, everything in the room looked mysterious. Family pictures on the wall seemed to watch her. She got up and tip-toed through the house, past her Dad, snoring in his chair, and to the closet with her stuffed toys. She gathered up her friends, tip-toed back to her room ad tucked them into bed, then crawled in beside them and "sighed a big happy sigh and YAWNED."
