Walt Disney's Pinocchio, 1948 D edition, Little Golden Book.

Sorry, this item has sold.

Adapted by Campbell Grant based on the story by Collodi. Illustrations by The Walt Disney Studio from the motion picture "Pinocchio". D8, "F" edition, 1948. Simon & Schuster.

Geppetto the puppet maker carves a boy, wishing he was real, as he badly wants a son. Jiminy Cricket suggests the name Pinocchio. "A dandy name!" Geppetto cries. Before Geppetto goes to bed, he offers his wish to the Evening Star. In the night, she visits Geppetto and grants his wish, but also assigns Jiminy as Pinocchio's conscience. The puppet the woodworker had carved was a real boy by morning. As soon as Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket walk out the front door, their adventures begin.

Stephanie, I am so thrilled with this special Little Golden Book, Pinocchio. It arrived beautifully wrapped in excellent condition with a wonderful handwritten thank you note. This means so much to me. My dad was born in 1948 and he was Jiminy Cricket for Halloween as a boy. We all loved the story of Pinocchio. He read to us all the time growing up and now he’s turning 75 years old this week. Wanted to surprise him with this special book that I know he will cherish. Thank you so much!
