Frances Browne (1816 - 1879) was an Irish poet and novelist. Blind in infancy by smallpox, she wrote poems, stories, and essays for various magazines and newspapers, and published several books of poetry and fiction. She was a writer for the Chambers's Edinburgh Journal for 25 years. Granny's Wonderful Chair, published in 1956, was her most famous story.
Gisele Rime is a renowned illustrator who has worked on various books, magazines and websites. She is known for her colorful and whimsical style that appeals to children and adults alike. She was born in France and studied graphic design at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. She currently lives and works in New York City.
