1950s Hermann Eichhorn Wood Nesting Blocks - Made in Germany - Children's Toys, Wooden Blocks, German Toys

Sorry, this item has sold.

Darling 1950s Hermann Eichhorn birch wood nesting blocks made in West Germany. Nice condition!

Hermann Eichhorn founded his toy company in Egglham, West Germany in 1949. Eichhorn began by making wood puzzles, then was the first toy company to make wood train sets. The Simba Dickie Group bought the company in the 1990s and relocated some of the manufacturing to Netvořice, Czech Republic. Their primary products continue to be Eichhorn's wooden puzzles, blocks, and train sets.

This set of four nesting blocks is handcrafted in birch wood, with hand-cut dovetail joints and wonderful graphic decals.

It is very sweet, but two of the corners were missing some of the interlocking wood. It was well wrapped, and had a nice note enclosed, so I assume it was shipped in this condition.
