Best known today as author and illustrator of Where The Wild Things Are, Maurice Sendak created a stir with his statement on society's treatment of the homeless from the point of view of a homeless child. Sendak narrated his artwork with two Mother Goose Rhymes. An excellent story for a mature child who's exploring social justice issues.
